More on Therapy

Everyone deserves to feel safe and live their desired life. It’s possible to challenge negative thoughts and change behavioral patterns that aren’t working for you anymore, as I’ve witnessed many clients do this. My clients have been supported through life’s challenges and transitions and come out on the other side. I know you can too.

Have you felt anxious, angry, sad, or guilty? Do you struggle with feeling confident? Despite the feelings you can’t seem to control, you’ve pushed through, or perhaps you haven’t been able to and you’re noticing it’s starting to get in the way of your life. Recently, things don’t seem to have gotten any better and you’ve started to feel a sense of dread. I’ve seen what unresolved anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, and trauma can do to a person when they don’t have or seek support. I am here to support you.

Psychotherapy is intimidating. I get it, I’ve been there. It’s not easy to sit in front of a stranger and be vulnerable. It probably doesn’t help that society teaches us that asking for help is weak. However, I believe your vulnerability and sensitivity are strengths and the key to living the life you want. These strengths are worthy of being nourished. Therapy can provide that safe space to put things into practice when it’s too scary to do it out in the world. It can help you reconnect with yourself. It can support you in developing self-awareness, cultivating inner wisdom, and gain a better understanding of your relationships, especially the one with yourself.

Therapy is tough work. There will be times of discomfort and uncertainty. There’s also hope and laughter. I encourage my clients to take things at a pace that feels comfortable and I’m sure to keep them accountable, too. Though therapy isn’t a magic pill, I’m confident that if you put in the work, gradual change and progress is possible.

I’ll support your unique needs and strengths as you learn to navigate your triggers, feelings, thoughts, and relationships differently. You’ll learn about the importance of self-compassion, communicating needs, confronting fears, and nurturing relationships.

Together, we’ll figure things out so that you can begin building a life that feels safe and true to you.
